Friederich Bier. Austin Healey BJ8

Dear John Chatham Cars

Thank you very much for tracing down the history of my modsports Healey.

It has been a great help that John could remember racing against former owners 40 years ago and that he even remembered which work he carriedout for them in the period.

Your knowledge down to checking ex-works part numbers found on the car enabled us to complete the cars history file in great detail.

Thank you very much again.

The Healey will be registered in the U.K. again on its original plates

ARX 999B and I will come in on my way to the DVLA.

Best regards,

Friederich Bier

Hylton Reid. Austin Healey BJ7

Just a short note to say “thank you” for the work you did on my Austin Healey 3000.

The work is truly beautiful and I am extremely pleased with the results of your efforts.

Shortly after it was completed we took her to Angouleme, where there were Bugatti’s, Astons, Bentleys, and loads of other exotics.  The Healey always attracted a crowd and was much admired.

I realise it took a lot longer that planned for the work to be completed, but I don’t think anyone was expecting to find as much corrosion in her rear end as you did when you removed the rear wings.  However, that is now cured.

Many thanks for the effort you must have expended to make her look as good as she does.  Keep up the good work.

Thank you.

Hylton Reid

Testimonials for 2013.

Gerard van Pelt. Austin Healey BT7 Mk1

Good morning John Chatham Cars

I would like to thank John, Vicky and Jack for the way you prepared the car, your skill and craftsmanship.

The car is now transformed from a raw racing car to an eye catching very fast "GT", the mesh grill you made looks like a piece of art. The trim does the car a lot of good and ads to the "GT" image.

I was well in time to catch the ferry from Harwich, it took me just under four hours to get there, Vicky's sandwiches were absolutely delicious, precluding a "catering" stop, the 80 litre fuel tank made sure I did not loose any time during a pit stop.

Your hospitality is second to none, I do not think any hotel can match your guestroom and cooking!

Will be back soon to have some work done on my other Healey.

Kind regards,

Gerard van Pelt

David Stanley. Austin Healey 3000 Mk2

Hi John Chatham Cars

I would like to thank you and your team for the great work you did in getting my engine back in working order in CSJ 743 (AH 3000 MKII 1962). After finishing the Monte Carlo Historique end of January, with damaged valves and pistons, you were able to rebuild the engine in record time for us to compete in the Sanremo Rally in early April. We finished 9th overall out of 37 starters and 2nd in class.

Best regards
